Warboss Nick's Sand Table

In the military sand tables are used to train and explain tactics. Now in way tabletop gaming is already a sand table simulation. So what's Warboss Nick's Sand Table then? I will collect various tactical advice on different armies, ranging from unit analysis and army composition to specific in game tactical solutions. Most articles will be present on their army's page, too, but I figured putting them all in one place would make finding and navigating them much simpler.

A final word of warning: These tactics are by no means perfect or "the truth". They reflect my gaming style and my approach to tabletop gaming. Adopt what suits you, and let me know what you think about the rest.

Tactica Astartes

While my prime army when playing Space Marines have become Black Templars over the years, I also use the basic codex, Salamanders or themed armies like scouts at times.

1500 points Black Templars - a sample army list.

Choice of troops - an analysis of the different units available for Black Templars.

Red Sands Taktix

Blood Axes at war (and Space Orks in general). I'm currently working on a tactica cityfight, but don't hold your breath...

Tau'va - tactical teachings of Fal'shia

In my opinion Tau are a delicate army that need some practice to work right. They are often mistaken for a "sit back and shoot" army and/or their fire power is overrated. Don't be mistaken: Firepower is the Tau's one strength, but it needs to be used well to be successfull.
